Unlock Fun Every Wednesday: Join the Library Kids Club!-image

Looking for a fantastic way for your children to learn, play, and connect with their community? Look no further! We're thrilled to invite children ages 5 to 10 to the library's sensational Kids Club, happening every Wednesday from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM. It’s an hour packed with themed activities that change every week, ensuring there is always something new and exciting to spark your child's creativity and curiosity. This is a great way to get involved in the community, and even help your kids make some friends .  Our club runs on a rotating monthly schedule, so mark your calendars for the unique activities planned for each Wednesday: First Wednesday: Lego Builders Unite!  We kick off the month by building masterpieces with Legos. This is a perfect chance for young engineers and architects to practice problem-solving and unleash their imagination. Second Wednesday: Move It Club!  Get ready for some fun exercise and energy burning! The Move It Club focuses on enjoyable physical activities to keep kids active and healthy. Third Wednesday: Game Day.  It’s time to strategize and play! Children can dive into a variety of board games, including the classic game of Chess, promoting critical thinking and friendly competition. Fourth Wednesday: Craft Creations.  Children get to express their artistic side by creating a fun, hands-on craft to take home. Rare Fifth Wednesday: Movie Time.  On the occasional fifth Wednesday of a month, we settle in for a relaxing movie screening. Kids Club Details: Who:  Children ages 5–10 are invited. When:  Every Wednesday, 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM. Where:  The Logan Library. Join us at the library and let your child explore a world of fun, learning, and friendship at Kids Club. Introducing Criss-Cross Applesauce Storytime!-image

Get ready to settle in for some fun under the trees, because we have absolutely wonderful news to share with our entire community! We are so incredibly thrilled to officially announce the exciting launch of our newest, family-friendly, weekly program: Criss-Cross Applesauce Storytime ! This special and much-anticipated program officially kicked off on February 28th , and it promises to be a beloved new tradition. Each session will bring cherished stories and lively songs to life, captivating the imaginations of children and creating lasting memories for families. Every moment of this program will be lovingly guided by our incredible team of dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers, whose passion for reading and community spirit makes all of this possible. What to Expect: Criss-Cross Applesauce Storytime is designed to be more than just a typical reading session; it is a welcoming space for children and their families to gather, connect, and enjoy the pure, unadulterated magic of reading. Our wonderful volunteers will be sharing a carefully curated selection of their favorite fun, engaging, and imaginative stories, ensuring there’s something new and exciting for every child to look forward to each week. In addition to the storytelling, they will also be leading engaging sing-alongs, encouraging everyone—parents included—to join in the fun with claps, motions, and enthusiastic voices. The entire atmosphere is intentionally relaxed, joyful, and designed to encourage participation and a lifelong love for books. It’s truly the perfect, simple way to spark creativity, encourage a deep and lasting appreciation for reading, and spend invaluable quality time with your neighbors and community members. We believe that these moments spent together are foundational for both early literacy development and strong community bonds. When and Where to Join Us: We've made it easy for everyone to join the fun by offering two convenient weekly sessions, giving families flexibility in their busy schedules: Mondays at 6:30 PM:  Start your week off right with a calming evening story and song session. Saturdays at 2:00 PM:  Make this a highlight of your weekend with an afternoon dose of literary fun. For both sessions, the location is the same magical spot: we will be gathering under the canopy of the beautiful trees in the dedicated kids’ area. We encourage you to make yourselves comfortable—please remember to bring a cozy blanket or a cushion from home. All that's left to do is settle in, sit criss-cross applesauce (if you can!), and get ready for a truly special and memorable storytime experience! We simply cannot express enough how grateful we are for our amazing, selfless volunteers. They are the heart and soul of our community and the true heroes who make fantastic, enriching programs like this not only possible but truly special. ​Escape the Nature Center!-image

Get ready for an outdoor adventure that promises fun for the whole family!  The Allen and Alice Stokes Nature Center  is excited to announce its special spring event, "Escape the Nature Center!,"  happening on Saturday and Sunday, April 25th and 26th, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.  This weekend is your perfect opportunity to engage with the natural world in a unique and playful way. A Half-Hour of Outdoor Fun and Adventure Perfect for adventurers of all ages, this event is designed to be an engaging and quick outdoor experience nestled within the beauty of Logan Canyon. Your group ticket covers entry to all three exciting and custom-designed stations , with each station estimated to take just 10 minutes. This means you can plan on a minimum of a half-hour of nature-themed entertainment—though your group is free to take their time, move at their own pace, and soak in the surroundings of the gorgeous canyon. The three stations will involve solving nature-based puzzles, using clues found in the environment, and learning fun facts about local flora and fauna as you work together to "Escape the Nature Center." It's a great test of teamwork and observation skills in a safe, outdoor environment. The Details You Need to Know: What:  Escape the Nature Center! An outdoor-themed adventure and puzzle challenge. When:  Saturday, April 25th, and Sunday, April 26th, 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM. Please arrive no later than 1:30 PM to ensure enough time to complete all three stations. Where:  Stokes Nature Center, located inside the mouth of Logan Canyon. Look for clear directional signage once you arrive. Parking is available on-site but can be limited, so carpooling is encouraged. Cost:  A single ticket is $15 per group  and covers up to 6 people (covers all three stations). All proceeds directly support the center's educational programs. Tickets should be purchased in advance on the Nature Center's website to reserve your preferred time slot. Who:  Open to all ages! The activities are designed to be fun and accessible for everyone from toddlers to grandparents. Please dress for the weather and wear appropriate outdoor footwear. Swing into Spring: Don't Miss the USU Big Bands Concert!-image

This annual concert is a beloved tradition at USU, attracting a wide audience including students, alumni, faculty, staff, and the general public. The "Big Bands" concert  is a must-see event, showcasing the incredible talent within the USU music program's Department of Music. Mark your calendars, because the show starts promptly at 7:30 PM .What to Expect The program will feature a full evening of music with two dynamic groups: The Jazz Ensemble  will kick off the night, setting the stage with their vibrant sound. The Jazz Orchestra  will close the evening, delivering a powerful performance. They will be playing a mix of mostly traditional big band music , transporting you back to the golden age of swing and jazz.
