Experience the Magic of the North Logan Pumpkin Walk

Autumn in Cache Valley brings crisp air, vibrant foliage, and one of Utah’s most cherished seasonal traditions: the North Logan Pumpkin Walk. Every October, tens of thousands of visitors gather at Elk Ridge Park to walk among lit carved pumpkins, handcrafted displays, and festive community art.A Beloved Cache Valley Tradition

What began in 1983 in the backyard of retired local teacher Ida Beutler has grown into a major regional event drawing guests from across Utah, Idaho, and Wyoming. With a history spanning over 40 years, the Pumpkin Walk remains completely free to the public, preserving its community-first spirit. What to Expect

As you follow the flat, paved loop through Elk Ridge Park, you'll encounter dozens of creative, themed displays made entirely out of real painted pumpkins, gourds, and squash. Because local volunteers create new scenes each year around a fresh theme, returning families enjoy a brand-new experience every season.

Event highlights include:
  • Glowing Jack-o'-Lanterns: Hundreds of carved jack-o'-lanterns light up the path after sundown.
  • Detailed Scenes & Pavilion Carvings: Explore over three dozen handcrafted scenes along the loop, plus master-carved pumpkin displays in the park pavilion.
  • Entertainment & Character Visits: Enjoy live music from local talent, meet popular storybook characters, or visit with the event's friendly witch.
  • Free Treats: Complimentary snacks are generously provided along the walk by local community sponsors.
